Chanel purse,
Forever 21 top and skirt, Kork-Ease wedges

On Saturday, I will be going off to sleep-away camp in Canada for TWO MONTHS. This camp doesn't allow you any electronics... so there will sadly be no posts for all of july and most of august. I leave you with this summery fun outfit that's great for going out during the day. I love the skirt- it was an awesome find at Forever 21- the sheer lace and the short under slip is a cute look. The purse.. well who doesn't LOVE the purse???

Bye guys! Have a great summer and see you as soon as I get back! xo

I was completely inspired while looking at one of my favorite blogs, PAPERFASHION, so i made my own little fashion sketch of a Chanel Resort 2013 outfit. This one was a favorite. I love Karl's use of colors for the season.

caviar pearls

Tuesday, June 26, 2012

A couple weeks ago, I purchased the Ciaté rainbow caviar pearl nails from Sephora. I tried them out today while I was watching Ryan Gosling in Crazy, Stupid, Love.  The Caviar nails sure look amazing- or did- because after an hour I have picked all of the little beads off. It was sooo tempting! Oh well, better luck next time! xo

Christina Lehr dress and belt, Miu Miu bag, Pedro Garcìa platforms, Brandy mellville bracelets

After a day of wedding dress shopping with my aunt at Lanvin, Valentino, and Barney's, my mom took me to Bouchon Bakery for some of my favorite dessert- French macaroons. Then my best friend and the photographer of most of my posts came over and we walked down to Market where I bought this ADORABLE pink and navy sailor-esque dress with its matching rope belt. I love this look so much! It looks good with wedges, flats, or even converse. I'm going to wear it so much this summer- it also looks good without the belt, so I can use it as a cover-up for the beach. Yay! The first dress of the summer! (summer has the BEST dresses! too cute!) xo

spree

These are three outfits I put together after my birthday shopping spree, where I went to Madison T, LF, Zara, Madewell, and Bloomingdales. Surprisingly, the stores all had a marvelous selection to chose from- which wasn't so marvelous for my grandma and my mom who paid for the day... Anyway, when I went shopping, I came home with three pairs of fun shorts, and the shorts are tricky to pair with.

1. with amazingly adorable high-wasted jean shorts, it's cuter to wear a short or cropped top instead of something tucked in. I wore a silk Madewell top with my Furst of a Kind vintage Levi's from LF, and the look turned out to be fantastic. Note- when wearing tie-dyed shorts, keep it simple with a solid color on the top.

2. with silk shorts, it's super adorable to wear a t-shirt on the top. I paired my new Zara silk shorts with my Madison T t-shirt, because the two match perfectly. Since the shorts and the top are toned, I added a bright yellow clutch. Note- don't pair silk shorts with a silk top- just don't. Also, when wearing nice shorts with a t-shirt, its cute when you add layered necklaces.

3. colored shorts look good with a lot. To achieve the indie/ boho/ Madewell look, I paired my Free People yellow jean shorts with my Madison T blouse and clogs. The whole outfit reflects sweetness and good style. Colored jeans are not too hard to work with, in fact every shirt I bought yesterday looks good with my yellow ones, and most colored jeans can fall under any style category. Note- don't pair bright shorts with a bright top.

Remember! Have a wonderful summer and expand your fashion horizons! try on a pair of crazy shorts. Experiment with different styles. xo

This summer is CRAZY shorts time. EVERYWHERE you go shopping you can find the cutest colorful, tie-dyed, patterned, and bright shorts! Today was my birthday, and I went shopping at Maddison T, LF, Madewell, Zara, and Bloomingdales. It was a great day, and I came home with a million shopping bags. These outfits are displaying just some of the AMAZING outfits I got.- like? Well, after the "photo shoot" my friends and I went out to dinner at Ivy by the Shore- DELISH. It was a great day. xo

70's in color

Tuesday, June 19, 2012

Haute Hippie dress, Topshop sweater, Miu Miu wedges, Marc Jacobs coin purse

This outfit reminds me of the 70's color block era. Purples, blues, and oranges compliment each other very well, so this get up is not hard to look at, even though it has bright colors. The shoes are a pair of my favorites. They are just so unique in the fact that they look vintage and young. The purse is one of my greatest buys- its just so agreeably adorable and super easy to wear.xo

I love headbands. They're an amazing accessory that many people forget about, even me. When I was recently reading Teen Vogue, I was inspired by some of the headbands I saw in the magazine, so I decided to make a post about just 3 of the many ways to wear a headband.

1. Scarf it- This is a vintage Gucci neck scarf passed down to me. I really love the seashell pattern, and when I was experimenting with it, I realized that it was ADORABLE as a headband! It gives out a boho vibe. CAUTION: don't use long scarfs for this unless they're silk, it will look weird.

2.Bejeweled- This is a tiara-esque headband I bought from Zara. I especially love jeweled headband because they are girly and antique looking at the same time. They add a sweet vibe to any outfit. With this headband,I let some hair loose in the front. That makes the diamond headband more casual. CAUTION: don't wear with to much jewelry- you don't want it to look like you're playing dress up.

3.Abstract- Vintage headband from SLOW on Melrose- It's kinda weird, but that's why I love it. It has sequins and beads and it's made of a funky ribbon-like fabric. I don't wear it very often, because it doesn't look good with a lot of outfits. I wear it as if it were a sweatband- because it's so big. I like how it's different though- I won't see anybody wearing it. I love it when I find something cute at vintage shops. CAUTION: don't crowd this crazy headband! keep the outfit simple.
