Topshop jacket and top, Levi's skirt, Kork-Ease wedges

As the hot summer weather is inching closer to an end, I finally got to wear a leather jacket to school. I love leather jackets- they can be dressy and casual, and they add an edgy look to any girlie outfit like the one I've got on under it. I recently bought this simple floral collared blouse at Topshop at South Coast Plaza. The hour drive was so worth the wait. I cant wait until it opens at the Grove this year!!!! Have a good tuesday!

Topshop sweater, Broadway & Broome shorts, Dolce Vita boots, Givenchy necklace. Jennifer Meyer earrings, Bottega Venetta purse

Please, can the weather become cold and overcast already? I've stocked my closet with fall's cutest sweaters, jeans, and boots. My absolute favorite style seasons are fall and winter, but here in LA, it's usually hard to dress to the occasion. For now, a light crew-neck and silk shorts will have to do.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Saturday, September 22, 2012

The Perks of Being a Wallflower has now been added to the top of my all time favorite movies. Not only was the acting of Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, and Ezra Miller impeccable, but the whole story really touched me- it hit a nerve, as my friends said it did to them as well. Half of the movie I was in tears, then laughter, then understanding. This movie really showed the true other side- the side where no one has to hide what they are, where not everybody cares to be the most popular kids in school. This story is a refreshing take on how people perceive high school. Kudos to you, Stephen Chbosky. It's a definite must see- cant wait to read the book now!

Also, the art direction, music, and costume design was amazing. Every image counted- the vibe of the movie stayed persistent the whole time. I love the fashion in the movie- it's really interesting, and you can tell that what they wore described who they are.

Top- American Apparel, Sweater- Millau, Skirt- Laurence Doligé, Purse- Vintage, Shoes- Gee WaWa

Denim is one of those fabrics that will never be out of style. I recently found this fun skirt at one of my favorite boutiques- Jill Roberts. I added color to this toned down ensemble with a little sequined bag I found at a vintage store on Melrose. Love the shoes- a surprise from my mom!
