Alright. Here's the deal:  Meadham Kirchhoff has completed a fourth collection for Topshop, out on the 21st. I'm not exactly sure what the audience is thinking, I'm not even sure what I'm thinking!  I'm not too excited about the over-the-top grunge items, for example the golden shoes and patch-work trousers, although I am pretty hyped about the fur coat, stole, and Harajuku-esque collared top. The collection is very bold- it's one of those you-love-it-or-you-hate-its. As stated by Nylon, the line "features rainbow heeled shoes that look like something Dorothy would wear while tripping on acid, frothy Victorian dresses that nod to the pastel-loving dressers of Harajuku, and enough technicolor Mongolian shearling to ensure that you'd never disappear in a blizzard". I'll have to investigate these eye catching pieces...

Topshop leather jacket // Vince top // Zara skirt // vintage Gucci scarf // Sequin bag // Blundstone boots

If you haven't noticed, I recently gave my blog a makeover. I was getting pretty sick of my simple layout, and I am much happier with this elegant theme (hello?! PINK!!). Anyways, today I decided to wear one of my favorite pieces- my Great Grandmother's silk scarf. The piece is really special to me, so I don't like wearing a lot. I however though it was appropriate on this beautiful friday afternoon. How I would love if my Nanny could see me wearing this!
Have a wonderful weekend.

Acne top // Topshop skirt // Zara heels // Balenciaga purse

LA got hot again, which is really annoying because I was just getting used to boots and coats. Here is an easy and edgy look- an oversized button down only buttoned once or twice, plus a cropped top and a high waisted skirt. A perfect ensemble for Fall heat.

Upon my tumblr's second birthday, I would like to celebrate the benefits of having one. I'm not a huge tumblr blogger, but throughout these two years (longer than I have had this blog, just saying...) I have noticed the goods and bads that tumblr has to offer. Good: You can find an image or GIF of absolutely anything. Bad: Most of these images and GIFs are not created by the blogger who's tumblr in which they reside.
I have used my tumblr as a mood board of sorts- I just post stuff that inspires me, but thats all. I don't upload my own photos, and even though people take pride in their "hipster" every-teenage-grungy-girl blogs, I personally think tumblr is way too easy. Most blogs have no text for their images, and all the photos are usually just taken from others' blogs. Although there are many of these blogs, there are also a lot of amazing blogs that contain original photos and text, which display hard work and determination, that I admire.

Here's my tumblr:

Topshop sweatshirt, leather jacket, and boots// BP skirt// Chanel bag// Faux Chanel two-toned shades you could say I'm Topshop-obsessed, but that's beside the point. I was recently experimenting with my new favorite embroidered sweatshirt (a great subtle color pop for my otherwise neutral outfits), and I decided to wear it with this simple (and very comfortable) black cotton skirt (originally bought for my seventh grade Bar Mitzvah going self). That ensemble was cute and simple, but it needed something more. Tying the leather jacket around my waist added a sophistication that was otherwise absent in my casual look. It would have never occurred to me that jackets could be worn in any other way but what they were made for, until this sudden flannel-tied-around-the-waist trend sparked an idea for me. You can tie lots of stuff around your waist- chambray tops, sweaters, military jackets, ect. Loving the leather look for more extravagant outings.
