I’m writing my very first novel!

It started as simple one page writing prompt, but I fell in love with the characters.

The first draft was a total stream of consciousness. While editing, the beginning held up, but then I hit some snags. I realized it wasn’t working in novel form. A friend suggested I dig deeper into character motivations. Once I put pen to paper, instead of keeping the characters in my mind, the plot started clicking into place like it had been waiting for me to find it.

At this point, there are still a few plot holes. However, I had to hit pause. The story has elements of science and technology, and I want those parts to feel rooted in reality before I start bending the rules. The research is coming along, and the plans are starting to flow again.

I’ll be stopping in with updates as I continue to create. I simply can’t wait for the day when there’s a shiny pink button here linked to my finished book!
